GHANA TO PLAY MALAWI IN AFCON 2013 QUALIFIERS




The Black Stars of Ghana are set to play Malawi in a two-legged knockout fixture in order to qualify for the 2013 Orange African Cup of Nations to be staged in South Africa.

The draw by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) at the Emperors Palace in Johannesburg, South Africa saw 30 countries paired against each other.
Ghana hosts the first leg of the two encounters between the 7th and 9th of September.

Out of the 30 teams, only 15 will be selected to join host nation, South Africa, for the tournament which begins from 19th January to 10th February next year.
The pairings also saw current African champions, Zambia drawn against Uganda whiles last edition ‘s finalist, Cote d'Ivoire lock horns with Senegal.

Burkina Faso will have to dig deep as they face Central African Republic , who surprisingly denied seven-time record holders , Egypt the chance to be represented at the draw.
